Sunny Southern

I have a fondness for oversized sunhats. I have six hanging on my wall with a seventh that I still need to hang. But I rarely wear them because I live in the Pacific Northwest. I'll wear them at the beach or at the pool, but I usually resort to a baseball cap otherwise. I do love this hat of mine though; it has a cute pink ribbon attached. It's my favorite sunhat.

What's something you like to wear but are too afraid to?

Pop of Yellow

I love that the weather has been getting warmer and that the sun has been out. This past week felt like spring. It was even warm enough to sit outside. And, because of the great weather, I decided to echo it with a cheery outfit. Northwest Pearls: Pop of Yellow

Are you enjoying spring so far?

Tahari Coat

O ne of my favorite coats is one I bought from Nordstrom a couple of years ago. I bought it while in Eastern Washington where it rains less and wore it around a lot during the fall, winter and spring. Here in Western Washington though I haven't worn it as much. Here I'll usually just save it for special occasions. Northwest Pearls: Tahari Coat

I love the double breasted princess coat style and wish it worked a little better with the rain. Sadly, you need something a little more waterproof and with a hood for around here.

What coat style do you like?

Grey and Navy

I just got this new navy skirt from Marshalls and I'm loving it. It's long enough for me and the material is so soft. It goes great with a casual grey t-shirt for running errands or hanging with friends. And you can dress it up or down with shoes and accessories. Northwest Pearls: Grey and Navy

Multi-color Fit and Flare

While shopping the other day at Kohl's I found this amazing dress by Milly for DesignNation. I love the fit of the dress and it has pockets! Something I only realized after I brought it home. I had trouble with a bunch of the dresses at Kohl's because I'm petite, some dresses that I really loved would only have worked if I had them altered and I didn't want to do that. So I'm glad I found this dress. It's one of my new favorites. Northwest Pearls: Multi-color Fit and Flare

Easter Flowers

I hope you're all enjoying spring and that you had a happy holiday weekend! I couldn't find any flowers I wanted in stores so I took a pair of shears and cut some of our flowers from our property for the Easter table. This weekend finally felt like spring was here. I wasn't sure what I was going to wear for Easter but while standing in front of my closet I saw my pink dress and yellow sweater. Pairing them with my favorite style of heels and a pair of sunglasses and I was ready for the day.
