Winter Wedding Attire

Northwest Pearls: Winter Wedding AttireI hope you all have had a Merry Christmas or just Happy Holidays! I spent it with my family and had a great time with them! Recently I attended a winter wedding in a barn, so while it was going to be heated, I wanted to dress warmly and sensibly for the packed dirt floor. So I wore this dress from Nordstrom that I bought a few years ago, and my AGL flats.

The barn was a little chilly, so I actually never took off my peacoat, but it was still a fun and beautiful event.

Have you been to many winter weddings this year?

Brunch for Two

My favorite clutch is one I received from my grandmother. I love it but I don't use it often because it's not practical. But I do like to break it out for dressier occasions. Like brunch for two. Northwest Pearls: Brunch for Two Northwest Pearls: Brunch for Two

Happy (early) Valentine's Day! In case you're needing some outfit inspiration for tonight or tomorrow, here's something I'd wear. The browns, and the leather jacket, make it a little less formal than it could be with blacks or a nice coat.

What are you going to wear for Valentine's Day?

Holiday Shine

Northwest Pearls: Holiday Shine Happy New Years Eve! While shopping for a Christmas sweater at Talbots, I came across this skirt. I tried it on and loved it. And best of all, it has pockets! Pockets in a skirt make it so much better.

What's something you'll be wearing for the holidays?

Christmas Classics

Here's another outfit for the holidays. I am loving this skirt and sweater. I probably should have restrained myself from buying them, but they're so pretty! It's perfect for some of the Christmas parties this season! There are a few rows of beading along the neckline, which pair well with pearls. I wore my favorite pearl earrings from National Geographic. Next time I think I'll add a pearl bracelet to the outfit.

Are you excited to dress up for the holidays?

Tahari Coat

O ne of my favorite coats is one I bought from Nordstrom a couple of years ago. I bought it while in Eastern Washington where it rains less and wore it around a lot during the fall, winter and spring. Here in Western Washington though I haven't worn it as much. Here I'll usually just save it for special occasions. Northwest Pearls: Tahari Coat

I love the double breasted princess coat style and wish it worked a little better with the rain. Sadly, you need something a little more waterproof and with a hood for around here.

What coat style do you like?

Holiday OOTD

I bought this velvet skirt from Kohl's a couple of weeks ago. I love it, but it's not a piece I could wear for just anything. I'm planning on wearing it to a few holiday parties this year and maybe for Christmas. The skirt is from the LC Lauren Conrad Runway Collection. It also comes in blue and black.

I paired it was a loose black top and sweater, but it also works with a tighter top, and I'd like to see how it goes with a crop top like this Topshop top or this Topshop top. The skirt waist is high, and if the crop top is long enough, I think I might like it.

And, the best part about the skirt: it has pockets! Why can't they make every fuller skirt have pockets? Seriously, how hard could that be?

Little Black Dress

Two of my favorite little black dresses are from Target, proving that you don't always need money to get great clothes. I love this dress; I paired it with some jewelry and a clutch from my grandmother, and my nude heels. Northwest Pearls: Little Black Dress

The necklace and bracelet are from my grandmother, as is the beaded clutch. You can't fit a ton into the clutch, but it fits just enough and the beading is beautiful.
