If I were able to invite one historical figure to dinner, it would probably be Eleanor Roosevelt, First Lady of the United States from 1933-1935,
She was able to help her husband's political career, change the office of First Lady, and was an advocate for women's
Ms. Roosevelt had a women't only press corp, forcing newspapers to hire women reporters if they wanted to have coverage of the First Lady. She wrote a column in the newspaper. Ms. Roosevelt was incredibly involved in journalism and media and I think it's really cool how she used it for her, and others' advantage. By leveraging her influence and image, she was able to help fight against discrimination and for human rights worldwide. I think that she was an amazing woman and would be an interesting person to talk to.
